It’s called an ambigram. There’s a guy Scott Kim who does a ton of them (I wouldn’t be surprised if this was his work).
I think this is the fourth blog post of yours that immediately reminded me of something mathy. This one sent me running for my copy of “The Colossal Book of Mathematics” to remember what they were called.
Ooh, apparently it’s a Symbiotogram, since rotating it 180 degrees produces another word. Symbiotogram. Nice word.
