Telluride quote of the day from my little sis

palermoShe’s the one on the left, being a dork.

Telluride Daily Planet does a quote of the day, every single day. Here’s her’s, sort of:

“I will have nothing to do with husband or lover…I shall not lift my slippers to the ceiling…this I shall do to end war…Come see the reading of Lysistrata today at 7 p.m. at the Telluride Community Room.” —The women of Lysistrata

And then, there’s always Cop Shop, which she has (fortunately) yet to appear in:

March 16
JETTISON: Arizona residents that had hitchhiked through the area last year reported they “had too much stuff” and lightened their load by jettisoning the duffle bag in a ditch.

March 16
MOVING TARGET: Kids lobbed snowballs at the gondola.

March 19
STOLEN: Skis.

March 21
BROKEN FACE: The tall guy held him in a headlock and the bald one crushed his orbital bone with his fist. Witnesses gave differing accounts, but among them were these nuggets: When one of the assaulters was asked his name, he replied “Satan.” And the punchee, before the fight started, was yelling “I will [kiss] your mother and your girlfriend.”

March 21
NOT THE BEST WAY TO CATCH A RIDE: A male and female hitchhiker threw rocks at cars on Lawson Hill.

March 22
ENTITLEMENT ISSUES?: Just because you’re in a limo, cops told the driver, doesn’t mean you get to drive the wrong way on a one-way street.
