OH man, Things to Read, Drinks to Drinks just turned into Buy a Book, Have a Beer. If you spend $30 at Powell’s between 3-6pm M-F you get a Powell’s pint glass and a coupon for $1.25 beer at local Bridgeport Brewery. Which, I’ll have you know, is a stumble from Powell’s and has outdoor seating in the sun. Which, I’ll continue to have you know, means I’ll be reading in the sun with a beer, a lot.
Joy, oh joy. Thanks to Kirsten, who suggested we collect as many as possible. Agreed, except my book budget isn’t that big.
Good thing there’s a happy hour for library card holders, too.
Plus they launched it on pay day. Very sly, Powell’s. You are so hard to resist. I will be doing all of my Christmas shopping between 3 and 6 p.m. during the month of May. And I will thank you for encouraging me to get it done so early. My family’s getting books from next year’s Portland Arts & Lecture’s series.
