There’s an adorable video of otters holding hands and napping and floating out on the internet somewhere, but I am too busy at work to find it. (I am not too busy to hunt down nap photos, though…) Someone put it in the comments, please?

Read the full story on the Flick page linked above. Most important here is the ending, “The moral is that when confronted with a bad situation sometimes the best solution is to take a nap…”
Your Daily Nap: The beginnings of a tan

Hey guys, I’ve started a Flickr group for my nap photos, since they’re almost all from there anyway. Here it is.
This is one of my own, from Tel Aviv. You know that feeling when you’ve been in the sun for a few days for the first time in ages, and you can feel the color starting to build on your skin? That’s what today’s nap is all about.

Shamefully taken from Corey Arnold. I should have asked if I could use this. His site is rad, and I recommend his blog.
He’s a local photographer here in Portland that shoots surreal commercial fishing photos and pictures of people entertaining themselves in the arctic. Why outhouses are inherently funny I don’t know, but they are.
Submitted by Brandy, who has ceased spotting a monkey a day.

Naturally his name is Wally! Check out the link for a grown up nap picture and a bunch of his release into the wild. Wally. Sigh.

I plan to post these daily around 3:30, when Owl people like me need a nap. (But Carissa it’s 4:47! I know, I still need a nap though, don’t you?)
Want: A nap

My most popular tag is “ideas about naps,” and also I want to nap in the sun right now, so I’m stepping up the napping posts.
Her Morning Elegance. Who loves stopmotion animation? I do!
Wednesday, January 28th, 2009Good morning! This may be my earliest post ever. Here’s something to start your day.
My favorite are the sock fish! I imagine all my loner socks swimming the walls in my sleep.

Where would you wish to wake up tomorrow?
Wednesday, January 14th, 2009Another Fifty People One Question video, this time filmed in Brooklyn.
From Crush & Lovely (follow link for NY question).
My favorite answers:
- Does it have to be a real place?
- Outer space
- I’m actually quite lucky if I wake up in the same place where I woke up this morning
But the best:
- A world where every closet opens up into someone else’s closet and then you come out of the closet and you’re in a totally different place and then you meet that person and get to have breakfast with them.
Nice. Where would I wake up? On Totoro, in My Neighbor Totoro land.
More ideas about naps, and poisoned monkeys
Monday, November 3rd, 2008I, for one, need one right now. And lookie loo, right now happens to be about 3, which is exactly when this diagram says I’ll need a nap. Bedtime at midnight, up around 8:30am, nap around 3, repeat. This is totally me. Or should be, if I had a place to nap.
It’s from the Boston Globe, of The Big Picture adoration, and they even put ideas/naps in the url: www.boston.com/bostonglobe/ideas/naps/.

I was especially pleased with the napping monkey image, because it reminds me of how I once woke up groggily next to a new boyfriend on one of our first mornings and he turned and said, “We’ve been sleeping like a couple of poisoned monkeys!” Think of that the next time you nap, and you’ll wake up chuckling.
